1) Fruit is a more healthy option to eating sugar. It contains fructose, which can curb the cravings for a little while. It is always better to eat more fruit than sugar, but still try to keep a balance in eating each food group.
2) Don’t buy anything to tempt you! If the sugar is not in your house you will be less inclined to crave it. You will seek other food options that you have stocked in your home instead.
3) Do exercise instead. If this still does not help curb the cravings then you may be deficient in a certain mineral that is making you crave chocolate, for instance. A magnesium deficiency can be replenished with nuts or tofu.
Keeping the long term benefits of not eating sugar in mind will make it easier to understand why you decided to cut off sugar in the first place. Eating less or no sugar will lead to your body feeling and functioning more healthy.
